Mary Nelly is the founder and Managing Director of Lunasaurus Entertainment, a boutique firm specializing in artist support, rights administration, metadata management, and live music logistics. Lunasaurus is where her operational mastery and creative roots converge. From curating showcase logistics to managing rights and catalog accuracy for labels, publishers, and songwriters, she ensures artists and companies are empowered to focus on their craft.

She acts as the liaison between clients and every facet of the industry—PROs, distributors, publishers, labels, and neighboring rights companies—facilitating streamlined rights management and accurate metadata registration. Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI): Associate Director, Creative Latin | Coordinator

At BMI, one of the foremost performing rights organizations in the world, Mary Nelly quickly advanced from Coordinator to Associate Director of Creative for Latin music. She led from the front, curating BMI showcases, song camps, and conferences across SXSW, Latin Grammys, Billboard Latin Week, LAMC, and more. Her work connected emerging songwriters with industry powerhouses, nurturing relationships that strengthened the cultural fabric of Latin music in the U.S., South America and Caribbean markets.

Mary Nelly’s reach extended far beyond event coordination. She was instrumental in identifying and cultivating relationships with artists such as El Alfa, Chimbala, Silvana Estrada, Pao Pao, MariahAngeliq, Rawayana, Anuel AA, and Danny Lux, among dozens more. She also collaborated on major programming and content production for BMI’s stages at Lollapalooza, ACL, and Ruido Fest.

In parallel with her BMI duties, Mary Nelly served as the Director for the Latin Music Peer-Music Award under the BMI Foundation. Before her rise in the creative and music industries, Mary Nelly built her foundation in organizational infrastructure and high-volume operations at AutoExpreso, Puerto Rico’s electronic toll system. Over 12 years, she held multiple roles—including Office Manager, Operations Administrator, Executive Assistant to the VP, and Violations Center & Metrics Manager.

She oversaw a department that processed over 100,000 documents monthly, created SOPs and coaching programs, and transformed inefficient departments into models of performance. Her process innovations, budget oversight, and strategic reporting tools earned her recognition as a forward-thinking administrator.

Mary Nelly led the hiring and training of dozens of employees across scanning, appeals, mailing, payment processing and customer service departments. She juggled executive communications, productivity analysis, compliance, and budget management—all while serving as the glue between cross-departmental initiatives and leadership goals.

Mary Nelly studied Graphic Design & Marketing at Atlantic University College in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Photography & Development at the Instituto Fotográfico de Puerto Rico.
